JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

Saz's Hospitality Group has been wowing guests for more than 45 years and wants to be sure our incredible team is on track for decades more. That's where you come in! We're looking for an HR Coordinator to help support the fantastic people who make our over-the-top-amazing hospitality happen. No two days will be the same for this multi-faceted team player, but here's some overall duties and expectations for this role:

*Strive to ensure SHG is offering an optimal workplace for employees in all divisions and positions

*Serve as primary point of contact for HR related questions, concerns and issues, striving for first contact resolution

*Own day-to-day functions that support the entire employee life-cycle, from onboarding through benefits administration and performance management to terminations and off-boarding

*Spearhead recruitment planning and operations

*Continued participation in industry events and educational opportunities to hone skills and remain aware of trends and issues impacting HR practices

*Use existing standards and policies, coupled with discretion and sound decision-making skills, to solve problems

Reporting to our Chief Progress Officer, the HR Coordinator will address a variety of functional and topics. They include: 

        • Maintain accurate, complete employee files
        • Support execution and data analysis of periodic engagement surveys
        • Drive employee retention through best practices and operational adjustments
        • Participate in job fairs and partner events as a recruiter and ambassador of the brand
        • Source, recruit and interview candidates for all non-leadership roles
        • Maintain Paylocity Applicant Tracking System for all roles
        • Generate draft job descriptions and postings for new roles
        • Post, maintain and manage active job postings in appropriate locations for listed role
        • Monitor employee onboarding activities
        • Plan and complete new employee orientation
        • Complete Verifications of Employment as needed, including for employee personal requests, state benefits eligibility and unemployment claims
        • Provide accurate, timely information regarding health, dental, vision, retirement and discount benefits to employees and vendor partners; complete related reporting as required, including processing of COBRA
        • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollments and deductions
        • Support benefit renewal efforts and processes
        • Maintain injury, OSHA log and workers’ compensation records, in collaboration with employees, managers and vendor partners
        • Administer FMLA and other leave types as necessary
        • Support payroll functions and procedures
        • Monitor and maintain employee time off records
        • Monitor review, birthday and anniversary calendars and ensure timely action by appropriate party
        • Participate in the process of generating and delivering performance reviews and policy action for hourly employees, as support to leadership teams
        • Collaborate with Chief Progress Officer, Staffing Coordinator and/or marketing department to develop, hone and communication the appropriate message to our current and future employees  

For their efforts and contributions in this full-time role, this team member will earn a competitive salary of no less than $42,000, variable based on experience. This role will also include paid membership in SHRM and Metro Milwaukee SHRM while you're on the time, 50% reimbursement of exam application and registration fees for a passed PHR/SPHR certification or recertification, plus a floating day of PTO if you take and pass the test! And, once you've been with us for 90 days, you'll receive a $1,000 bonus for joining the team.

REQUIREMENTS:  

We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented person who will commit their passion for service and great communication skills to helping our teams, The Finest in town, win all the time, every day. Because of the variety of scope of tasks, this person should have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and 2-4 years experience in an HR generalist (or similar) role, or a combination of education and work experience that provides the same general background. It would be great if this team member had prior experience in the hospitality industry (in HR or any capacity!) but it isn't required.
