Held Virtually
The Legislative Conference provides a half-day learning opportunity for HR professionals focused on legislative and regulatory issues as well as a review of precedent-setting court cases. The Conference provides a comprehensive review and update of changes during the past year as well as predictions regarding potential changes in the year ahead. Most importantly, the Conference prepares HR professionals to proactively manage these changes within their organizations. This year, the Conference will also take on two pressing issues related to COVID-19, the first being a survey of legal matters that have arisen from the pandemic and the second a program specifically looking at employee benefits and how they are affected by things such as layoffs and work-from-home arrangements.
Learning Objectives:
- Provide an update on various changes and potential changes in federal and state employment laws impacting the workplace.
- Provide analysis and guidance based on recent federal and state case law and their effect on the workplace.
- Examine how COVID-19 has affected the workplace across a range of employment matters, including, among others, employee benefits.
